Tesla Connection (Android)

Grid Getter connects to your Tesla account using Tesla’s official OAuth flow. Your Tesla password is never visible to Grid Getter — you log in directly on Tesla’s website.

The app prompts you to connect Tesla after you create your account. If you skip that step, connect from Settings → Integrations.

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations.
  2. Tap Connect Tesla.
  3. Your browser opens to Tesla’s authorization page.
  4. Sign in to your Tesla account.
  5. Approve the Grid Getter connection.
  6. You’re redirected back to the app automatically.

Your Powerwall and solar data appears on the Live Dashboard within a minute.

The Integrations screen shows your current connection status:

  • Connected — the connection is active. Shows the connection date and last sync date.
  • Reconnect required — the connection has expired and needs to be refreshed.

Tesla access tokens expire periodically. When your connection expires, a banner appears on the Live Dashboard with a Reconnect button.

  1. Tap Reconnect on the dashboard banner, or go to Settings → Integrations → Reconnect Tesla.
  2. Complete the Tesla authorization flow in your browser.
  3. The app resumes loading live data automatically.

If you open the app while your Tesla connection is expired and no cached data is available, you’ll see a full-screen disconnected state. Tap Reconnect to start the authorization flow, or Retry to attempt loading data again with your existing token.
