Integrations

The Integrations tab in Settings manages your Tesla connection — the link between Grid Getter and your Tesla energy system.

To get there: Settings → Integrations

The Integrations tab shows whether Grid Getter is currently connected to your Tesla account. When connected:

  • Your live energy data appears on the dashboard
  • Automations can send commands to your Powerwall
  • DemandGuard can monitor and respond to your grid draw in real time

When disconnected, a banner appears at the top of every page in the app.

Your Tesla OAuth token can expire over time, or if you change your Tesla account password.

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations
  2. Click Reconnect Tesla
  3. You’ll be taken to Tesla’s login page — enter your credentials there
  4. Review and approve the access Grid Getter needs
  5. Select your energy site if prompted
  6. You’ll be returned to Grid Getter with a fresh connection

To remove Grid Getter’s access to your Tesla account:

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations
  2. Click Disconnect Tesla

This stops all automations and live data. Your automation configurations are preserved — reconnect Tesla and they’ll resume.

Grid Getter can:

  • Read your live power data (solar, battery, grid, home)
  • Read your battery state of charge and reserve setting
  • Set your battery reserve percentage
  • Switch your operational mode (autonomous ↔ self-consumption)
  • Read Storm Watch status
  • Send storm watch commands

Grid Getter cannot:

  • Access your vehicle data or controls
  • Access your Tesla account settings
  • Make purchases or changes to your Tesla account
  • Read data from other Tesla products (like Solar Roof without Powerwall)

Grid Getter uses Tesla’s official OAuth 2.0 flow. Your Tesla password is entered directly on Tesla’s servers — it’s never sent to Grid Getter. You can revoke access at any time from your Tesla account under Account → Third-Party Apps.
