Security (iOS)
Biometric sign-in
Section titled “Biometric sign-in”Grid Getter supports Face ID, Touch ID, and Optic ID (Vision Pro) for fast, secure sign-in. When enabled, the app prompts you to authenticate biometrically on launch instead of entering your password.
Enabling biometric sign-in
Section titled “Enabling biometric sign-in”- Go to Settings → Security.
- Toggle on the biometric option (the label reflects your device — Face ID, Touch ID, or Optic ID).
- Authenticate once to confirm. Grid Getter stores a secure session reference in the iOS Keychain.
On future app launches, you’ll be prompted to authenticate with your biometric instead of your password.
Disabling biometric sign-in
Section titled “Disabling biometric sign-in”Toggle off the biometric option in Settings → Security. The stored session reference is removed from the Keychain. Future sign-ins will require your password.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Toggle isn’t visible
Your device may not have biometric hardware enrolled. Go to iPhone Settings → Face ID & Passcode and enroll Face ID (or Touch ID & Passcode for Touch ID devices).
Authentication keeps failing
If Face ID fails repeatedly, it may lock out after several attempts. Use your device passcode to unlock, then retry. For persistent Face ID failures, reset and re-enroll in iPhone Settings → Face ID & Passcode → Reset Face ID.
