Getting Started on iOS
Install the app
Section titled “Install the app”Download Grid Getter from the App Store. The app requires iOS 16 or later.
Sign in or create an account
Section titled “Sign in or create an account”- Open Grid Getter. You’ll land on the login screen.
- Enter your email address and password.
- Tap Sign In.
If you don’t have an account yet, tap Create Account to register. You’ll receive a verification email — tap the link in that email, then return to the app and tap Confirm Existing Account to complete setup.

Biometric login (Face ID / Touch ID / Optic ID)
Section titled “Biometric login (Face ID / Touch ID / Optic ID)”If your device supports Face ID, Touch ID, or Optic ID, you can enable biometric sign-in after your first password login.
- Sign in with your password.
- Go to Settings → Security.
- Toggle on the biometric option for your device (Face ID, Touch ID, or Optic ID).
- Authenticate once to confirm.
On future launches, the app will prompt you to authenticate biometrically instead of typing your password.
Connect your Tesla
Section titled “Connect your Tesla”After signing in for the first time, the app will prompt you to connect your Tesla account. This uses Tesla’s official OAuth flow — Grid Getter never sees your Tesla password.
- Tap Connect Tesla when prompted (or go to Settings → Integrations).
- Tesla’s login page opens inside the app (no external browser needed).
- Sign in to your Tesla account and approve the connection.
- You’ll be returned to Grid Getter automatically.
Once connected, your Powerwall and solar data will appear on the Live Dashboard within a minute.
See Tesla Connection for reconnecting if your access expires.
