Getting Started on Android
Install the app
Section titled “Install the app”Download Grid Getter from the Google Play Store. The app requires Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later.
Sign in or create an account
Section titled “Sign in or create an account”- Open Grid Getter. You’ll land on the login screen.
- Enter your email address and password.
- Tap Sign in.
If you don’t have an account yet, tap Create account to register. You’ll receive a verification email — tap the link in that email, then return to the app and tap Confirm existing account to complete setup.
Forgot your password? Tap Forgot your password? on the login screen to receive a reset link.
Login options
Section titled “Login options”Remember me
Section titled “Remember me”Check Remember me to pre-fill your email address on the login screen. Your password is not stored — you’ll still need to enter it each session unless you enable biometric login.
Keep me logged in
Section titled “Keep me logged in”Check Keep me logged in to stay signed in until you explicitly sign out. Without this, the app automatically signs you out after 12 hours of inactivity.
Biometric login
Section titled “Biometric login”If your device supports fingerprint or face authentication, you’ll see an Enable biometric login option on the login screen.
- Check Enable biometric login on the login screen.
- Sign in with your password once to link your credentials.
- Future sign-ins show a Sign in with biometrics button as the primary option.
Tap Sign in with password on the biometric login screen if you need to enter your password instead (e.g., after a failed biometric attempt).
Connect your Tesla
Section titled “Connect your Tesla”After signing in for the first time, the app will prompt you to connect your Tesla account. This authorization uses Tesla’s official OAuth flow — Grid Getter never sees your Tesla password.
- Tap Connect Tesla when prompted (or go to Settings → Integrations).
- You’ll be taken to Tesla’s website in your browser.
- Log in to your Tesla account and approve the connection.
- You’ll be redirected back to Grid Getter automatically.
